Running my own servers and services at home is how I learn best. If something breaks, it's my problem to fix, and that's the point.

Taking a task I do by hand every day and turning it into a script that runs the same way every time. It saves hours and cuts down on mistakes.

"Never trust, always verify." I'm interested in how networks move away from a trusted inside and toward checking every user, device, and request, which is exactly where DoW networks are headed.
Local LLMs
Running AI models on my own hardware instead of in the cloud. I like seeing what's possible when the data never leaves the machine, which matters a lot in security-minded environments.
Web Design
I enjoy turning ideas into functional, well-designed sites. This website, in its current and earlier forms, is one of them.
Outside of Tech
When I'm not at work or in the lab, you'll usually find me watching a race or a game.
Formula 1: Max Verstappen
I'm a huge Max Verstappen fan, and it starts with how dominant he is. He won his first Formula 1 race at 18, the youngest winner in the sport's history, then took four straight world championships from 2021 to 2024, including a record 19 wins in 2023.
His driving is on another level, and it's never more obvious than in the rain. He won from 17th on the grid in a soaked Brazil in 2024, a drive people still talk about. He's not only fast in F1, either: he races sim events with Team Redline and GT cars on the Nürburgring Nordschleife just for the love of it.
What I respect most is his mentality and character. He's calm under pressure, never satisfied with second, says what he thinks, and stays loyal to the people around him. That mindset, plus the engineering and live telemetry behind every lap, is why F1 is my sport.

NBA: Luka Dončić
I'm a big Luka Dončić fan because nobody plays the game quite like him. He isn't the fastest or most explosive player on the floor, yet he controls every possession with changes of pace, step-back threes, and passes nobody else sees coming.
He's a true team player. His passing makes everyone around him better, but when the team needs it, he can carry the whole game on his own. In the 2024 playoffs he played through a sprained knee and a chest injury to lead Dallas to the NBA Finals.
That's why the February 2025 trade that sent him to the Lakers still stings. Nobody saw it coming, and I'm still not over it.

Soccer: Lionel Messi
I've followed Lionel Messi since his Barcelona days, watching him dribble through entire defenses on his way to becoming the club's all-time top scorer. He has won eight Ballon d'Or awards, more than anyone in history.
The 2022 World Cup was the moment it all came together. He led Argentina to the title in Qatar and was named the tournament's best player, completing a career with nothing left to prove. For me, he's the greatest to ever play the game.
